La Marmotte 174 km, seasoned with 5,180 meters of climbing. The day served up the classics: the Col du Glandon, the Télégraphe, the Galibier, and a finish up Alpe d’Huez. My good friend Kasper and I ‘enjoyed ourselves’ together up the Glandon, and then rode each our own pace. I felt really good up the Galibier, but paid with cramps for the rest of the ride: it cost time and pain. Kasper took a nice, long seven minute break at the top of the Galibier and reportedly managed to eat a magnificent three course menu. Well done.
