An indescribably great experience at my first Ironman yesterday! Fresh arms on the swim, iron legs on the bike, and a strong finish to my first marathon. I came in at 09:39:06, number 113 of 2432 athletes. Thank you to all the supporters along the route! Especially my wife-to-be, Simone: I hope it gives you one more good reason to say ‘yes!’ on Saturday.

Perfect summer day for Ironman Copenhagen. Awesome to have a wife Simone that supports your crazy-stupid-spontaneous-projects while on paternity leave. But after two weeks of fun (and panicky) Ironman boot camp I could cross the finish line in 9:58:00. And now back to practicing the diaper transitions...
Years later, that first finish line surfaced again, in a poem about fathers and sons: good enough.
